Bengals XC Paws Up Camp

Our site may not be quite as posh as the Resort at Paws Up (right next door), but it’s the company you camp with that makes the adventure meaningful and memorable. We are looking forward to our first team camp during the first full week of official practice. While we are still in the planning phases, below you will find some basic information about the adventure that awaits this summer.

When: Tuesday, Aug. 17-Thursday, Aug. 19

Where: Lubrecht Experimental Forrest

Who: All Bengal XC runners are expected to attend, as these dates fall within the official season. Practices will count toward 10 required to run in our first meet.

Transportation: Runners will travel to the camp via bus

Lodging: Runners will sleep in cabins (bring a sleeping bag and pillow)

Tuesday

Tempo RUN

We will enjoy a tempo run alongside the Blackfoot River on our way to camp. After the workout, runners can cool their legs in the river and enjoy a snack.

Trail RUN

We plan to do a steady morning recovery run on the trails that surround the camp. Some special guest speakers will hopefully join us for the run.

Trail RUN

We will start the day with a light shakeout run. The plan is to keep this easy, since runners are encouraged to run in the August Trail Race that evening in Helena.
